Pyramid Lyme Disease Tick Test helps determine the presence (or not) of the Borrelia bacterium, the cause of Lyme Disease, in pets and humans.

This single use test requires the tick to be posted to a laboratory where its DNA is analysed to see if it is infected with the bacteria associated with Lyme disease -  Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia afzelii and Borrelia garinii. 

Results of the test are sent by the laboratory via email within a maximum of four working days from receipt of the tick.  The certificate can then be shown to a medical or veterinary practitioner to allow rapid early treatment, helping to prevent chronic long term symptoms of Lyme disease.

Please Note: An additional testing fee of £37.50 is required to be paid to the laboratory when you send off your sample.

Instructions for use: Remove the tick using the tools provided in the kit and place it in the tube provided ensuring the lid is placed on tightly. Fill out the label with your details making sure you retain the unique ID number, and place in the prepaid package for immediate posting. You will need to pay the £37.50 testing fee online before the test results are emailed to you.
